About
I'm a designer, consultant and entrepreneur who's worked across communications, fashion, digital technology and the arts.
I've recently completed an AHRC funded PhD at Loughborough University London. My research examines how retail practices produce unusustainable outcomes in the garment industry and explores how new market-making practices might produce different outcomes.
I have an MBA from Imperial College London, where I focussed my studies and research on innovation for the circular economy. Shortly before returning to study, I'd designed and launched my own cradle-to-cradle fashion micro-brand.
I've worked at a handful of digital start-ups, going back to the late 90's, starting at the bottom and moving up to pitching for VC funding. I've also worked at an agency, working with high profile brands, charities and other non-profits on their branding and communications.
I have a number of volunteer roles with organisations working for a healthier, less polluted future. I'm also a Fellow at the RSA (Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce).
I have a varied creative practice, which includes several kinds of printmaking, drawing, and making clothing.
I read a lot. I live in London with a cat.
